Therapist for Wilderness Program

Wilderness Therapist wanted to work with young adult men and women.
Legacy Outdoor Adventures for men and Juniper Canyon Recovery Center for Women Loa Utah are gender specific programs using a hybrid model of wilderness therapy and residential treatment.
Clients are on base for days and in the field the rest of the week.
Individual group and family therapy take place at the base facility in Loa Utah.
The wilderness experience spans a large field area from Fish Lake to the Henry Mountains.
Therapist Duties Assess and treat young adults with mental emotional trauma andor substance abuse problems.
Facilitate individual family and group therapy crisis intervention case management and psychoeducation groups.
Provide weekly individual group psychoeducational group therapy family therapy interventions to assist clients in meeting treatment goals.
Evaluate and asses individualized needs for treatment Facilitate group therapy and contribute to group curriculum development Conduct relevant clinical assessments create treatment plans and invite client compliance and progress to treatment plan Collaborate with field guides physicians or nurse to plan or coordinate treatment Consult with family members and referral sources to assist them in understanding dealing with or supporting the client.
Modify treatment plans according to changes in client status.
Conduct Biopsychosocial assessments suicide screenings and utilize additional assessment tools as clinically indicated.
Complete clinical documentation.
Generate effective documentation to support current level of care and to support insurance documentation.
Complete weekly updates evaluating treatment goals.
Complete of clinical progress note after each session.
Manage aftercare plans and discharge planning.
Collaborate with educational consultant and parents to establish aftercare plans Facilitate effective discharge planning to ensure client success after treatment.
Collaborate with family and referral sources.
Conduct video and inperson family therapy sessions.
Fully licensed individuals meeting requirements may provide licensure supervision Qualifications Masters Degree in Social Work Counseling Marriage and Family Therapy or Ph.
D.
in Psychology or another licensureeligible field of study.
Fully Licensed in the State of Utah as one of the following LCSW LMFT CMHC or Psychologist Must be fully vaccinated for COVID Preferred year experience working as a therapistclinician in the substance usemental health treatmentwilderness therapy field.
Wilderness experience as a wilderness therapist guide or participant.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
